Athletic Grants In-Aid
Financial assistance is available to male and female student athletes. The Director of Athletics, in consultation with the appropriate coaches, recommends the recipients and amount of awards. Interested students should contact the Athletic Department directly.
It is the policy of the University of New Hampshire that men and women will have equal access to funds for athletic scholarships. Criteria and procedures for awarding such scholarships are decided by the Department of Athletics.
International Student Scholarships
International students are eligible to receive all scholarships listed for out-of-state students. In addition to these, a limited number of scholarships are available. No additional application is required as students are considered based on materials submitted during the admissions process.
Need-based Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid at UNH, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor. It must be received by March 1 in order to be considered for various forms of need-based aid awarded by the University. Details are available through the Financial Aid Office. Do not wait to receive an admission decision before filing the FAFSA.
Federal Loan Programs
UNH participates in the Federal Perkins and Stafford Loan programs and offers other financing options for students and their families. Additional information on loan amounts, current interest rates, and loan repayment terms are available through the Financial Aid Office.
Employment
Federal Work-Study
With the aid of federal funds, UNH provides employment opportunities on campus or in non-profit agencies off-campus for students who demonstrate financial need. Students who participate in the program may interview for such positions on their own. Work-study positions are available year-round and may include everything from animal caretaker to Web designer, camp counselor to research assistant.
Other Employment Opportunities
UNH students can choose from a wide range of part-time and temporary employment opportunities around campus, from dining services and recreation, to computer services, child care, and more.
