Michigan Promise Scholarship Certification
Students who are eligible for installment payments must certify their award by November 15th of the academic year in which they want to begin receiving their funds. Students in the high school graduating class of 2009 have until November 15, 2009 to certify their award for use during the 2009-10 academic year.
ACT Option for Michigan Promise Scholarship Installment Payments
Governor Granholm recently signed into law Public Act 349 of 2008 which allows some eligible students in grade 12 to become eligible for installment payments of the Michigan Promise scholarship by taking the national ACT as an optional assessment after taking the complete Michigan Merit Exam (MME). 2009/2010 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
The 2009/2010 FAFSA form is now available in both English and Spanish on the Federal Student aid Web site. The FAFSA can be filed online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. For priority consideration for the Michigan Competitive Scholarship and Michigan Tuition Grant, file by March 1, 2009.
