Massachusetts Board of Higher Education’s Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA)
The Board of Higher Education’s Office of Student Financial Assistance (OSFA) is responsible for the management and oversight of all state-funded financial aid programs, including MASSGrant, the state’s largest need-based financial aid program. OSFA also manages three statewide initiatives: GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), the Police Career Incentive Pay Program, and the Ronald E. McNair Reserve.
Students may use the website to research and compare different state financial aid programs, including grants, scholarships and waivers and the state’s No Interest Loan program. Students may also review eligibility for state financial aid programs, fill out the FAFSA online, get answers to frequently asked questions and access other financial aid resources.
