Indiana State University Financial Aid Information
Financial Aid
If you will be seeking a degree (or pursing a required teacher certification), you are eligible for consideration for financial aid programs.
INSTRUCTIONS
Applying for most federal and state aid starts with completing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).
For instructions (and online application) go to:
Federal Student Financial Aid FAFSA
www.fafsa.ed.gov
The Federal School code for Indiana State University is 001807.
Note: For easy to understand line-by-line instructions, download this guide (47-page document) published by the Student Loan Network.
DEADLINES
You should complete and submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after January 1—and well before the March 1 deadline.
Note: You can apply for financial aid prior to admission to the University.
CHECKING YOUR STATUS
Once admitted to the University, you can check your financial aid status by logging on to the MyISU Portal at https://isuportal.indstate.edu
Important: Once aid is approved, you cannot receive aid until you are admitted to the University and registered for courses. To continue to receive aid, you must meet specific requirements.
