Delaware Institute for Medical Education and Research (DIMER) Loan Program
DE Higher Education Commission
DIMER provides an opportunity for Delaware residents to attend Jefferson Medical College (which reserves at least 20 admissions/year) or the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (which reserves at least 5 admissions/year). Applicants must be legal residents of Delaware and meet the academic requirements of JMC or PCOM.
DIMER Tuition Reduction Stipend:
DIMER students receive $1,000 annually toward their tuition. There is no application required.
DIMER Need-Based Scholarship:
To be considered for the need-based scholarship, DIMER students must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and any additional paperwork according to the deadlines and requirements of the respective institution's financial aid office. Awards are generally made for 30% of demonstrated financial need or 30% of cost of attendance for one academic year, less the expected family contribution (EFC) from your processed FAFSA. This calculation may vary slightly from year to year, depending on available funding.
