Scholarships & Financial Aid

Tuition and Fees
Southeastern students pay tuition according to the number of semester hours scheduled (Including courses taken for audit). Additional charges, such as textbook rental fees, laboratory fees, ID fees, fines (parking, books, etc.), housing, meals and vehicle registration, will appear on the fee statement if applicable. Any credits, such as scholarships and other types of financial aid, as well as prior tuition and fee payments, also appear on the fee statement, with a net balance due.

Scholarships
A college education can be expensive. And trying to figure out how to pay for it can be challenging. At Southeastern, we’ve streamlined our scholarship process with guaranteed four-year scholarship packages for beginning freshmen who qualify based on their ACT scores and high school grade point averages. There are also a number of departmental and foundation scholarships available to qualified students.

Applying for Financial Aid
Our goal is to provide the resources to help you finance your college education. With federal, state, and institutional assistance, you have the opportunity to accomplish your educational goals.

Federal & State Aid Programs
There are a number of federal & state aid programs available to students at Southeastern. With the exception of those students who wish only to apply for the Federal PLUS Loan program, students must complete a FAFSA to determine their eligibility for Title IV federal financial assistance.

Financial Aid Work-Study
Work-study is designed to give part-time employment to undergraduate and graduate students who need the income to help meet the costs of post secondary education and other expenses. Southeastern is committed to offering students excellent training, including the opportunity to obtain hands-on experience through the work-study program.

Student Employment Network
If you are looking for a job to help out with some of the bills, Southeastern’s Student Employment Network is where you need to start. From graduate assistantships to work-study, the Student Employment Network assists you in connecting with employment opportunities both on and off campus.

Out of State Fee Waiver
If you live out of state and are thinking about attending Southeastern, but are worried about out of state tuition fees – don’t worry! Southeastern offers out of state tuition fee waivers to qualified beginning freshmen and transfer students.
