The College of Mount St. Joseph will use a $100,000 grant from the Charles E. Schell Foundation for Education, Fifth Third Bank, to provide student loans.

The four-year grant will be used to create a revolving loan fund aimed at students, especially juniors and seniors, who need extra financial help.

“This is an excellent reserve for students who have exhausted their eligibility for federal student loans, especially when they’re close to degree completion,” said Kathy Kelly, director of student administrative services, in a news release.

Students will be able to repay the loans up to 10 years after graduation with no interest, the college said.
