Financial Aid

At Franklin & Marshall College we are committed to helping bright, motivated students overcome financial barriers. In fact, every year we provide more than $24 million in grants and scholarships alone.
The incoming Class of 2013 will benefit from increased funds for financial aid. Total grant aid will be approximately $2 million (33 percent) higher than for the Class of 2012. This significant boost underscores our commitment to enroll highly qualified students who could not otherwise afford a Franklin & Marshall College education. In addition, these resources will help families who have been adversely affected by the recession.

A primary goal of the comprehensive fund-raising campaign we are now planning is to increase substantially our endowment-funded financial aid. This larger fund will ensure much more financial aid for this generation and future generations of students.

Approximately 65 percent of current F&M students receive some type of need- or merit-based assistance in the form of grants and scholarships, loans, and campus employment.
This assistance comes in the form of:

Grants and Scholarships: never need to be paid back
Student Loans: need-based assistance
Student Employment: flexible jobs on campus across all departments
